i'm still here

wow, it's crazy that I haven't been on here for over two years. guess it shows you that my priorities have nothing to do with blogging. But my sisters just created a blog, so I thought I'd check to see if this one was still active. Took me a while to find the logins and such, but i eventually did.

I'm Alive Too

Well, it seems to me that as far as cyber space is concerned I may have been in a coma. After all, sometimes life moves so fast we forget to involve ourselves in such important things as blogs. So after reading a recent blog by a fellow blogging friend (The Wicked Rage for those of you who know her) I figured it might be important to declare my level of consciousness--however low it may be.
So, what have I been up to. Not much. I work, sleep, and eat; two of which I enjoy immensely and the third I'm starting to enjoy.
What happened today of interest? Well, my promotion is finalized...sorta. They're always changing things around. Sometimes it's hard for me to know what's happening because it's always changing. For example, I was working 24 hours a week, then 33, starting tomorrow 38, and hopefully it'll drop to 32 shortly. I got a raise and will now be a floor manager, and will be sort of in control, except on Fridays when it'll be just me. They shut down the whole morning shift, so now there's going to be like forty people shoved into a room where there were only 15-20 before. Anyway, lot's of fun.
I really just wanted to mention that I saw a certain favorite performer of mine perform tonight on the MTV Movie Awards. It was Mariah Carey and she sang her latest single from her latest cd: We belong together from The Emancipation of Mimi. (For those of you who don't know her single and album are both at the top of the charts right now. I would suggest anyone who likes good music to buy the cd. It's really good). A friend of mine was watching the awards show with me--some of you may know him as The Lyle--(this friend is really into music, but not the kind I listen too). Anyway, suffice it to say that he was amazed at the performance. It was amazing. She hit every note, and she sounded like she does on her album. She's a great singer. He's not used to seeing a live performance actually sound as good as a recorded one. Hopefully now he can understand why I like some of the performers that I do. Not only do they make great music, but they are good live as well as in the studio. Anyway, just thought I'd drop a line, now it's time for some sleep.

Full-Time Frenzy

So the question arises: how good of friends are you when you can unashamedly tell another that you really have no plans for Saturday night? I mean, out of all the days of the week, Saturday is the one that gives itself to having plans. (I actually have a theory that there are more people doing nothing on Saturdays than anyone would like to admit; we just don't becuase it's not a happy subject). And to say that you really don't have any could potentially be a hit to your reputation with said friend. And do you mention that while you're sitting and blogging and doing nothing really that Celine Dion is playing in the background?
So this is the position I find myself in tonight. And who was the friend you ask? None other than the infamous politichic. Did she mind that I had no plans? Of course not. That's how friends are.
Well, this week has flown by. I have finally entered the fulltime working force, and after one week I am ready for it to be over. Selling dish network, while exciting in its own right, is really not that exciting. And to do it for forty hours a week is really not that exciting. Luckily my schedule for next week is a little less hectic: only 24 hours of selling. I can handle that. One thing I did notice this week (and now understand) is the reason behind some of my friends' desire to do nothing at the end of the day. I did not really understand this. After all, I like to party, and I could do it every night. But some of my friends just weren't in the mood. After working full time each day this week, I would come home and do absolutely nothing and be completely happy with it. So, in true blogging form, I'm going to make a list (i've never done this before) about why at the end of a full work day there is no desire to do anything else:

1. When you've been doing something all day long, doing nothing feels really good.
2. When you've been dealing with people all day long, pretending like nobody else exists feels really good.
3. When you've been sitting down all day, why get up?
4. When you've been caring about what you're boss thinks all day long, not worrying about what you say or do feels really good.
5. When you didn't get enough sleep the night before because you had to be at work at eight, going to bed early actually sounds good.
6. When you work on commission and you're not doing that well, not spending money feels really good.
7. When you've been thinking all day long, not having to think feels really good.
8. And finally, when you've been working all day, you can be lazy afterward without really being lazy (because you work full time of course).

Now these of course are not all of the reasons, but give me a break, I've only been working full time for a week. If this were to continue (and thank goodness it's not) then maybe at the end of next week I'd have some more. I wouldn't of course come up with any new reasons during the week because of number 7 above. If you all can think of any more reasons I'd love to hear about them.

Now, I wasn't going to mention this, and this should probably be a blog in its own right, but while I was completing the list above, the website did something and half of my list disappeared. Luckily, I was able to remember all of the items on it. But how am I expected to put down an interesting blog if this site deletes part of my imaginings?

What's up!? Posted by Hello

Bald Frog

Here's the question, and after is the answer!: The children are waiting! Please tell them the story about the bald frog with the wig:

Well, I'm so glad you asked! I wasn't going to tell this story, but since I know you're waiting...It all started on a sunny afternoon in Provo. Little did we know at the time, but the weather was about to change real quickly (the inversion). If you didn't know, it is the leading cause of sickness on the wasatch front, but don't mention anything to mitchel, she might get a headache. as for the frog, we were walking out in the forest and I heard a sound from behind me. I thought it was going to be a hot girl (because I like those). Unfortunately it wasn't. I saw Brant sitting there with a frog dancing on his lap (he'd say lap dance, but I don't think that's appropriate). It's weird, because it appeared to be a female frog (the hair was a give away, I've never been really good at determing the sex of amphibians, but I assume that because of the blond hair it was of course female...how foolish of me. I should of known what happens when we assume). Anyway, so she (the frog) was talking about lipstick and showing us pictures from her performing days (man did she have nice legs!). So after a while I turned to my friend and asked if it really was a woman (I started to get the feeling there might be a little more equipment down south than what I had originally planned). Anyway, foolish me, it was no woman, and that hair was not real. It was really a wig, and the frog was bald. (all names were changed to preserve the anonimity of those involved).

Here I am

well guys, you finally convinced me to do this, or maybe I convinced myself, but i should say that I finally found a good name for the blog, not that brad helped very much. if you were here when we decided you know what I mean. anyway, who knows if i'll ever really use this site, just one more thing to do when i should be doing so many other things. well, talk to you later, and if yoko stops by, say hi. :)
